Terms of Use
Rules for browsing, signing up, uploading, and collaborating on Cast My Show. Using the Platform confirms you agree to these Terms (and periodic updates).
Last updated: May 2026
Important: these Terms are drafted for readability. They are not personalised legal advice. If you need binding guidance for your production or company, consult licensed counsel in India.
1. Who operates Cast My Show
The website, mobile web experience, APIs, and related services at castmyshow.in and linked properties (together, the “Platform”) are operated by the legal entity behind Cast My Show (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: support@castmyshow.in (see also Contact).
2. Agreement & capacity
By accessing or using the Platform you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific rules we surface (for example upload restrictions or advertiser flows). If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, you represent you are authorised to bind that organisation.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account (or the age of digital consent in your State in India if higher, when we enable youth flows—today’s product presumes adult sign-up). You must not impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with a production, union, brand, or government body.
3. What Cast My Show provides
We provide online toolsfor creative discovery and collaboration: talent profiles, project listings, search & browse experiences, optional advertising placements, indexes or caches for performance, and administrative moderation interfaces. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any listing will be seen by a particular audience volume.
The Platform is not an employment agency under Indian law unless separately licensed and expressly contracted as such in writing; we do not guarantee casting outcomes, revenue, distribution deals, or labour-law compliance for your productions.
4. Accounts & authentication
Accounts may be created through email-based identity providers (including third-party sign-in such as Google via our authentication integration). You must safeguard credentials, enable device security, and notify us promptly at support@castmyshow.in if you suspect compromise. We may require re-verification, password rotation, or step-up checks for high-risk actions.
5. User roles & responsibilities
- Talent users warrant that profile information, credits, reels, gallery media, and contact paths are substantially accurate, that you have rights to publish likenesses and third-party IP visible in your profile, and that minors or sensitive depictions comply with applicable law and consents.
- Project owners / producers warrant that project descriptions, schedules, calls, and recruitment language comply with fair advertising, anti-discrimination where applicable, child-labour rules, and lawful recruitment practice in India; you remain responsible for contracts you enter off-platform.
- Advertisers warrant that creative assets, claims, targeting parameters, and landing pages comply with Indian advertising standards (including ASCI-aligned truthfulness), applicable sector rules (gaming, alcohol, healthcare, financial products, etc., where relevant), and do not infringe third-party rights.
6. Your content & licence to us
You retain ownership of materials you upload or submit (“Your Content”), subject to third-party rights embedded in it. You grant Cast My Show a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt format (e.g. compress, transcode metadata), display publicly where you opt into publicity, distribute through our infrastructure (including edge caches and search indexes), and operate the Platform — including moderation, security scanning, backup, and compliance with law or court / government orders valid in India.
You represent you have all rights needed to grant the above for every file, name, logo, still, audio snippet, or text you submit.
7. Uploads & moderation workflow
Certain images (for example hero marketing panels, moderated profile visuals, or covers) may be staged in secure storage, then manually or automatically reviewed prior to broader publication elsewhere on Cast My Show. We may approve, delay, blur, downgrade visibility, reject, delete, or escalatecontent that appears to breach these Terms, our operational policies, or applicable Indian law—including content that threatens minors, distributes malware, violates intellectual property unlawfully beyond fair dealing defenses, impersonates persons unlawfully, incites offences under Indian Penal Code provisions or related special statutes, distributes voyeuristic or intimate images without lawful consent, distributes extremist instructional violence unrelated to legitimate documentary or fictional creative depiction context, distributes fake casting fee scams targeting aspirants in India's creative economy, distributes hate speech unrelated to scripted performance context — or when we detect suspected platform abuse loops.
We may suspend accounts pending investigation. Repeated or serious breaches may trigger permanent bans and referral to competent authorities where required by law after assessment with counsel where appropriate.
8. Intellectual property complaints
Rights-holders believing content on Cast My Show infringes copyright, trademark, or publicity rights should email support@castmyshow.inwith: your contact details; identification of the work; Platform URL(s) or object keys; statement of good-faith belief; statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury analogue that you are authorised; and electronic signature analogue. We'll respond consistent with Indian law (including Information Technology Act 2000 and allied rules governing intermediary safe-harbour where engaged) alongside practical ability to investigate.
9. Prohibited conduct (illustrative)
You must not:
- Harass, stalk, bully, discriminate unlawfully against, threaten violence toward, doxx, or coerce other users;
- Use the Platform to facilitate human trafficking, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), escort solicitation, or unlawful gambling;
- Fraudulent fee-collection schemes falsely promising roles, certificates, visas, festival selections, influencer deals, or other opportunities without lawful ability to deliver;
- Attempt to scrape, brute-force credential stuffing, circumvent rate limits or security, or sabotage infra;
- Upload malware, deceptive links (phishing), cryptojacking, or wallet drainers;
- Misrepresent government affiliation without lawful authority;
- Use another person's photographs or likenesses without necessary rights;
- Use automated scripting to bombard interfaces except via documented APIs where we explicitly publish terms;
- Resell unauthorised bulk access credentials or indexes derived from unauthorised scraping;
- Violate India's foreign exchange norms if you solicit / route payments improperly through disguised escrow;
- Otherwise break applicable law anywhere your conduct targets users or exploits Indian infrastructure protections.
10. Third-party links & integrations
Profiles may link externally (social media, portfolios, storefronts). We don't control third parties; their terms and privacy notices govern your interactions. Authentication via Google routes through their consent screens — Google's policies apply concurrently.
11. Paid features & advertising
If purchasing placements, boosted visibility, invoiced enterprise features, credits, subscriptions, taxes (GST / withholding as applicable under Indian Income-tax Act timelines if we raise invoices domestically)—those economic terms appear at checkout / order form precedence: order form overrides general Terms if conflict. Fees are earned when service delivery milestones described therein occur unless refund rules say otherwise mapped to consumer protection norms when you qualify as a “consumer”.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permissible under Indian law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, accuracy of user-generated postings, uninterrupted operation, latent defect exclusion beyond mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived in your factual consumer situation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted under the Indian Contract Act 1872 and allied statutes (including Consumer Protection Act 2019 where you are not contracting purely B2B with bespoke waivers lawful there):
- We are not liable for indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential losses (including reputational harm, lost casting opportunities not caused solely by proved wilful misconduct, speculative festival selections, missed third-party endorsement deals unrelated to contractual guarantees we actually signed) except where statute forbids exclusion.
- Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms typically caps at the greater of ₹2,000 or the amounts you paid us in fees for Platform chargeable SKUs giving rise to liability in the six months before the claim—unless a tribunal holds a different mandatory measure for consumers.
Some jurisdictions (or consumer classifications) disallow certain caps—we honour non-waivable entitlements.
14. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cast My Show (and directors, officers, employees, contractors) from third-party claims, losses, governmental penalties (excluding those caused solely by our gross negligence adjudicated finally), liabilities, or fees (reasonable counsel) stemming from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, your dealings with counterparties recruited via the Platform (including alleged labour-law breach), or your violation of intellectual property / personality rights belonging to talent on camera you publish without lawful release.
15. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts with or without notice when we reasonably suspect harm, imminent illegality, platform integrity risk, or repeated IP complaints. You may cease use anytime; Sections intended to survive (ownership, disclaimers, limits, indemnity, governing law, dispute handling) persist.
16. Privacy
Data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy(Indian users: aligned with lawful processing expectations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 roadmap, supplemented by transitional practices under prevailing IT Rules / IT Act regimes until specialised systems fully register).
17. Assignment
We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with restructuring, merger, asset sale, or service provider reorganisation. You may not assign without our prior written consent except to a successor entity that assumes all obligations (e.g. company merger of your whole business) and notifies us.
18. Electronic records & consent
Communications may be electronic. You consent to receive notices via email Platform dashboard SMS if later added where law permits opt-out granularity.
19. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless a mandatory arbitration clause attaches to enterprise order forms that expressly override this sentence for sophisticated B2B customers (absent today for mass-market signups). Parties may attempt mediation in Bengaluru within a commercially reasonable period before escalating to court — urgent injunctive relief (such as counterfeit brand impersonation, CSAM escalation, imminent violence threats) may be sought before any competent court immediately.
20. Updates
We'll post revised Terms updating the date above inside the footer area or page header vicinity. Continued use after effective posted date constitutes renewed acceptance excluding changes rejected where law requires granular re-consents (we'll surface banners / email then).
